Today I saw a rap video on some channel that plugged Barack Obama in the middle of the song. It seems like there is a new face of politics, but it is hard to tell whether or not this is going to make a difference at the end of the year. We have all heard about Obama's use of the Internet, his ability to reach out to young people through websites like Facebook.com, etc., and the idea is that by reaching people with this medium, young people (a group that tends to skip voting) will go out and vote in November.

So what does plugging Barack Obama on some station like BET do? Are they going to be able to get more African Americans to the polls? Or will there be some sort of backlash?
