Democrats Urge for no Increase in Troop Levels

Next week, when Bush "unveils" his already leaked plans for a small troop increase, Democrats will be there, pitchforks in hand, ready to do some shouting. The words are different, with Speaker Nancy Pelosi using the phrase "Harsh Scrutiny" and Joe Biden refers to it as "tragic mistake."

But I think I speak for all of the Democrats when I say:

Anyway, despite the media's portrayal of the Democrats' new power, they can't do much other than stop funding, which they will never do because it puts the troops already there in greater danger. So don't expect a huge backlash at the President's proposal and be happy he is at least changing something, even though what he changes will probably be useless.
